November 7 - 8, 2024 Revitalize & Inspire: A Leadership Recharge Revitalize & Inspire: A Leadership Recharge for School District Leaders, a leadership and wellness retreat created by The Council's Wellness Committee, is an event aimed at empowering superintendents and other school district leaders with essential tools for emotional resilience and managing the challenges that come with a leadership role. In a safe, trusting environment, leaders will learn the balance of vulnerability and professionalism, while developing actional approaches to enhance their own well-being and that of their school staff. Attendees will delve into practical strategies through small group discussions and hear from experts from Cartwheel Care, who will share the latest research on trauma-informed care, managing burnout and stress. November 14 - 15, 2024 Women's Initiative Join us as we bring together school leaders of all gender identities and district roles for an event dedicated to supporting women in leadership and fostering inspiration for more women to pursue leadership positions in education. Our program is designed to empower and celebrate women in educational leadership. Participants will have the invaluable opportunity to network and explore topics on confidence, celebrating strengths and developing leadership skills. More information
November 20, 2024 Legal Seminar This session will provide school district leaders with essential information on navigating transgender issues facing schools. Topics will include legal protection for transgender students and staff, creating inclusive policies and procedures and addressing potential conflicts. Superintendents will gain practical guidance and strategies on fostering a safe and supportive environment for students and staff. More information
